Millie's Restaurant

PASAY | Dining at Millie’s Restaurant, Microtel Mall of Asia

A relaxing hotel staycation also needs a sumptuous meal. We were too lazy to go to the nearby Seaside Boulevard to dine on the different seafood and buffet restaurants available. We were fortunate since Millie’s Restaurant, the in-house restaurant of Microtel Mall of Asia is just located on the ground floor of the hotel.

The restaurant is a tribute to the matriarch Millie Del Rosario, who, because of traveling, introduced different international cuisines to her family. As per the story written on a page on their menu, “She was a devoted wife, a doting mother, a fun-filled friend and above all, a truly remarkable woman who was way ahead of her time.”

Very warm vibe of the restaurant.

Millie’s offers a warm ambiance that provides the guests a place for casual conversations while enjoying the food being served. I love how the way they complemented the lighting of the restaurant to the color of the fixtures: orange chairs and table tops, maroon place mats and light brown paint on the wall.

Complimentary bread and butter.

The entire menu was divided into five parts: Breakfast, All-Day Dining, Filipino Corner, International Dishes and Beverage Selections. Each part was again separated into some features such as appetizers, salads, soups, fish and seafood, pasta and noodles, meat, desserts, coffee and tea, cocktails, wines and some liquors.

Beef Kebabs (Php 410) marinated prime beef cuts skewed with onions, tomatoes and bell peppers.

Roast Rosemary Chicken (Php 365) tender juicy roasted chicken with rich aroma of fresh rosemary.

We decided to order the ones on their International Dishes section: Beef Kebab, Roast Rosemary Chicken, Baby Back Ribs and Crispy Pata under the Filipino Corner. Right after the crew got our order, they provided us some complimentary bread and butter while waiting for the food to be served.

Baby Back Ribs (Php 325) tender and smoky, packed with flavor from their secret marinade.

Crispy Pata (Php 550) that is actually good for 2.

Since the restaurant maintains an intricate way of preparing the food, waiting time is a little bit long. On the other hand, it’s a great way to enjoy your company while basking with elegance and comfort on their furnishings. You can also check out the mini-museum inside the restaurant showcasing some of Millie’s travel items.

The buffet breakfast included on Microtel MOA rates is also being served at Millie’s. The breakfast features Filipino gustatory such as longganisa, fried bangus, roast beef and egg; bread and pastries, salads and fruits.
