Blogapalooza 2013: Business-To-Blogger Event

Blogapalooza is a community. It’s a link between big and small businesses who have something cool to share and the online community of people who love to share. Blogapalooza is a blogger event with lots of giveaways for bloggers and online community and a chance for big and small businesses to present their product/brand to hundreds of influential bloggers and online social media influencers.

The event was held last November 16 at SMX Convention Center in SM AURA, Taguig having dozens of brands introducing their products to the online community. Bloggers and media partners were allowed to go around the booths to gather information about the brands and their product offerings. An event ID was also given which also served as the participant’s checklist in visiting the booths of the different brands.

Aside from having the opportunity to know the brands and their products, some panel discussions and comedy segments were also happened. Bogart the Explorer and his partner Jako De Leon together with Mikey Bustos had an informative talk about Vlogging while Stand-Up comedians Tim Tayag, Derf Hebrado and Marlon Olivan of Comedy Cartel took care of the entertainment segment.

For other blogging related topics, Philip Abadicio of Philip the Lifestyle Guy discussed about the importance of bloggers to the media, Jason Cruz of MRM Worldwide on Blogging and Branding, Radio DJ Karen Bordador on Radio and Blogging, Ana Santos of Writer’s Block Philippines shared tips on monetizing your blog and Boy’s Night Out’s Sam Y G, Slick Rick and Tony Toni were also present to talk about podcasting.

The event was also able to raise Php82,000 for the victims of Typhoon Haiyan (Yolanda) initiated by The Piggy Bank Movement and donated to World Vision.

Blogpalooza 2013 was spearheaded by Vince Golangco and Francis Simisim of When in Manila and Anton Diaz of Our Awesome Planet.
