Time for dessert! And the best option would be cakes, and preferably cheesecakes! I found one in a newly opened restaurant along Leonard Wood Road that serves pizza, pasta, burgers, frappes, and more. Grumpy Joe started to cater customers last February 2014 during the Panagbenga Festival.
Still in its fourth month, the place is already prominent as customers get on their doors just to queue for a table. The place serves as a cool place for groups to hang out while enjoying the appetizing food they offer.

Grumpy Joe was not crowded during my visit so I immediately got a table. They actually have a wide array of choices on their menu from pizza, pizza wrap, pasta, calzone, salads, burgers, Buffalo wings and fried chicken, rice and combo meals. Of course, they have desserts as well as frappes and other cold beverages.
My eyes were glued to the Blueberry Cheesecake (Php 140) so I muttered it to the waiting crew. I ordered a Raspberry Iced Tea (Php 75) along with it. I thought that the cheesecake at Php 140 per slice is a bit costly but I was shocked when it was served. The slice is bigger compared to other cheesecakes I had plus they served it with extra blueberry syrup and preserves. How about that!
Blueberry Cheesecake is not that sweet which is just perfect for the thick blueberry syrup. It has also a gelatin-y texture that gives a “melt in your mouth” experience. On the other hand, the raspberry iced tea was served in a Mason jar, and I loved it. I’m into iced teas and I tell you, their raspberry is a must-try.
