Different festivals are being celebrated in the province of Albay throughout the year. Some of which are Arandurugan Festival in Guinobatan, Pilgrimage to Joroan in Tiwi, Sarung Banggi Festival of Sto. Domingo, Layag Festival of Rapu-Rapu, and the Ibalong Festival of Legazpi City. But the grandest festival province-wide is being celebrated during the whole month of April which is the Magayon Festival.
This year’s festival highlights include the annual Parade of the Giants with 66 higantes, Mayon 360 degrees, an 80KM marathon in Bicol Region where you need to run around the perfect-coned volcano and the Five Peaks in One Summer Climb conquering the different mountains of Mayon, Malinao, Masaraga, Manaet, and Manito.
