WHERE TO EAT IN SAGADA
Bana’s Café and Restaurant
During my lunch on my first day in the locale, I tried Bana’s Café and Restaurant. I ordered a Fried Bangus rice meal. With the price, I was expecting for a set of rice, the fried bangus and maybe a veggie on the side. I was disappointed when it was served. The fried bangus was not that big and no veggie on the plate. The meal was totally dry. The restaurant has 2 dining areas: inside and the other one outside having a view of the pine trees in Echo Valley.

Yoghurt House
For dinner, together with the group I joined on the tour, we dined at the famous Yoghurt House. The restaurant was so crowded even it has 2 floors. I ordered Baked Chicken with Potato Rosti while my companions ordered Mushroom and Cheese Pasta, Triple Decker Sandwich, Pork in Bechamel Sauce and the famous yoghurts. The chicken was tender but was overpowered with rosemary and not well seasoned with salt. The potato rosti was not that cooked but the vegetable salad on the other hand was great.

PM2D Eatery
For lunch on my last day, we just headed on a carinderia near the Municipal Hall, PM2D Eatery. I ordered a bowl of pork sinigang and 2 cups of rice since I didn’t eat breakfast and I was so tired from the trek we had to Bomod-ok Falls. The soup of the sinigang was good and not that oily together with the pork which was tender.

The Lemon Pie House – Sagada
The last restaurant I tried on my stay in Sagada was the Lemon Pie House. I ordered a serving of Chicken Adobo as recommended by a friend. It was only me and a couple inside the restaurant that time since it was already 7 in the evening. I was able to enjoy the food without hurrying. The interior design is nice having low dining tables (you can even sit on the floor while eating!) and some paintings hang on the wall. When the order came, I was shocked with the serving! The adobo covered almost two-thirds of the plate, and the plate was large. Imagine me ordering another cup of rice just to accommodate the dish. I enjoyed the food so much which was ended by the lemon pie as dessert.
